About the poet
Simon Pomery is a text-sound artist releasing records and performing under the name BLOOD MUSIC (Diagonal Records, BMR), and publishing poetry widely in places such as 3:AM magazine, The White Review, and PN Review, with a pamphlet, The Stream, out with tall-lighthouse. He is the founder of Praxis, an experimental, interdisciplinary poetry performance series at Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art, and is writing a PhD on experimental poetry and digital culture at Royal Holloway. His latest BLOOD MUSIC CDR is entitled ‘LIBATIONS AND SENSATIONS’. He has performed his music and text-sound works at festivals and venues such as Berlin Atonal, Elevate (Austria), UH (Budapest), Dalston Music Festival, Cafe Oto, Club Stomp (Osaka), and Soup (Tokyo), and was recently commissioned by SAVORR to make a work about sound to be exhibited at this year’s Wysing Polyphonic Festival. |
