Öyle bir yazdı ki sanki gökyüzünde oturuyorduk Seni öpmek gökyüzünü öpmek gibi mavi bir şeydi Gençlik öyle bir yazdır ki ne yurt ne ev ne oda yalnızca gökyüzü yeter insana Biz seninle gökyüzünde çok oturduk gençliğimiz çok mavi geçti...çok! Born in Eskişehir in 1956, Haydar Ergülen studied Sociology at METU and has worked as an advertising copywriter. His first poetry book “Karşılığını Bulamamış Sorular” ( Questions who could not find their answers) was published in 1981. He has published 16 poetry and 25 essay books. He is the winner of various Turkish poetry prizes. Together with friends, he published the poetry magazines “Üç Çiçek” (Three Flowers) in 1983 and “Şiir Atı” (Poetry Horse) in 1986. He has attended various poetry festivals and events in Turkey and abroad. He is the director of the International Eskişehir Poetry and the İzmir International Literature festival. His published books in foreign countries are France: “Carnet Intime”, (2012), “Grenade ou Nar”, (2015), Germany: Die Ecken Deiner Stille (2019), United Kingdom: Pomegranate Garden (2019), and Italy: La Casa Nella Melagrane(2020).
