Dream Journey
 
No need of
Travel agency
Travel magazine
Or travelogue
 
We only desire to fly in tune
Like holy religious words,
To roam about this water-colour earth
 
Our only requirement is one Hu-en-Tsung
Who will attach wings justly
to our two shoulders
 
 
 
Rucksack
 
peaks of the far-off mountain-indistinct, clouded, trees
Coniferous fir, rattan, spruce... crowd of many unknown shrubs
To which an urban imaginative thrill -loving mind longs for a trip
 
In the mind of an intelligent student the exciting geography book,
                                                             the unbearable sound of trekking...

He was the former Head, Department of Bengali, Alipurduar College and Alipurduar University. He has authored several collections of poetry and has been honoured with many awards.
